Founder – Twelve Points Academy
Joey Belsanti is a passionate advocate for financial literacy and a senior at Bryant University, where he is pursuing a major in economics, a minor in finance, and a concentration in political science. His journey into financial education began with a personal realization of the staggering $2 trillion in student loan debt and $1 trillion in credit card debt in the U.S.
Through conversations with friends and peers, Joey discovered a widespread lack of financial preparedness, which fueled his desire to create change.
Driven by a commitment to empower younger generations, Joey founded Twelve Points Academy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between individuals and financial education. His leadership at TPA reflects his personal mission to equip communities with the knowledge and tools needed for financial independence.
In the 2023-2024 school year, Joey led the TPA Bryant Chapter in delivering financial education to over 600 elementary students in the greater-Providence area, showcasing his ability to inspire and educate. He also organized significant events, such as the 1st Annual Financial Literacy Festival at Bryant University, which reached over 300 Bryant community members.
Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Joey is an active member of the Bryant Men’s Rugby Team, where he serves as captain for the 2024-2025 year. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and fishing, activities that reflect his love for the outdoors.
Joey’s dedication to financial literacy is not only a professional endeavor but also a personal passion that he continues to advance both academically, and in his everyday life.
